Journey To Sohra , Meghalaya
My Bike Journey to Sohra, Meghalaya
One of the most memorable experiences of my life was my bike journey to Sohra, Meghalaya, with my friends. We planned this trip to enjoy nature, explore new places, and take a break from our busy lives.
We started our journey early in the morning from Guwahati. We checked our bikes, wore our helmets, and carried some snacks, water, and raincoats. We took the Guwahati–Shillong Road and travelled towards Shillong through beautiful hills and green forests. The cool morning breeze and fresh air made us feel excited.
On the way, we stopped for breakfast and tea. After reaching Shillong, we continued our journey towards Sohra via the scenic road through Mawkdok. The winding roads, deep valleys, and clouds floating over the hills made the journey amazing. We stopped at the famous Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint, where we took photographs and enjoyed the breathtaking view.
As we continued towards Sohra, the weather became cooler, and the landscape looked beautiful. Sohra, also known as Cherrapunji, is famous for its heavy rainfall, waterfalls, caves, and green valleys. We visited Nohkalikai Falls and were amazed by its height and natural beauty. The waterfall surrounded by green cliffs was a wonderful sight.
We also explored nearby viewpoints and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We took many photographs and spent time admiring the beauty of nature. Later, we enjoyed some local food and hot tea. The simple meal tasted even better after the long bike ride.
The most enjoyable part of the trip was riding with my friends through the mountain roads. We shared jokes, talked about different things, and enjoyed every moment together. Although some roads were wet and winding, we rode carefully and took breaks whenever necessary.
In the evening, we began our return journey with happy hearts and unforgettable memories. The beautiful hills, fresh air, waterfalls, and time spent with my friends made this trip special.
